My problem happened to be related to Retrospect 6 and 10.5.x running on intel servers. We did not see the problem on Retrospect 6 and 10.5.x on PPC servers.
What kind of issues were you having with restropect?
At one of my school buildings I have seen log in issues and users losing connections or access to their folders.
Also seeing disabled/asleep, but I never installed the No/AFP sleeper.
If you need 3 tests, and they cost $150 dollars each, then you would have twenty tries to pass all 3 exams until you get to $3000.
Now knowing Apple Exams they are 88 questions with 8 demographic questions. So I would got to apple.com and look at the prereqs for the tests and then try to take it. commit as many of the questions to memory as possible and do a brain dump right after the test. The pass/fail sheet that prometrics gives you will tell you where you are weak and strong at, plus give you a breakdown of how many questions are for each particular section.
By three tries you should have a test done, or have a damn good idea exactly which questions or subject area need more review.
Some people I have talked to a macenterprise.org spoke highly of the product. I looked at the information about the product, and I was comparing it to Prosofts client. Kanaka differs from the Prosoft client in several ways: Prosoft Client uses NCP. Kanaka relies on NFA to provide access to the volumes. Kanaka integrates with the login subsystem of Mac OS X. Prosoft Client does not. Kanaka integrates with existing environments to support Workgroup Manager. Kanaka provides automatic storage mounting based on the user’s identity. They don’t have to know what server to connect to. It is done for them automatically.
You need to have a self-service account, or be associated with a self-service account to use gsx.apple.com.
The training materials are for the ACPT, ACHDS, and ACDT exams only. It has nothing on server essentials exam, but the Help Desk Essentials Exam will get you the ACHDS, which is the half-way point to the ACTC, ACPT, and ACDT.
Just thought I would add my list of candidates to the list for our groupware investigation. Please keep in mind this search is in the very earlystages so nothing has been ruled out. If yu have more info let me know.
