The link still is off
should be: http://nbalonso.com/prepare-office-sp2-for-instadmg/
rbwongParticipant… has anyone got the method described in Yoshi’s link working?
rbwongParticipantInstead of using the patches, the method posted at Yoshi’s link uses a install source with SP2 integrated into the image. If that is the way to go and not these patches, then so be it.
rbwongParticipantHa! Never mind! I had added an extra command in the 10.7_Vanilla.catalog file in the line of Installer Disc Builds! Wow! Gotta watch the syntax!
rbwongParticipantPart of the problem might be that Mountain Lion uninstall Java. How is the Java being installed (meaning, which catalog file and where is it placed? With the other System Updates in the vanilla catalog?)
rbwongParticipant@psychozz – did you add the build version to the “Installer Disc Builds” to the vanilla catalog?
rbwongParticipantJust wanted to clarify something: 14.2.3 still needs to be patched, but which was the last Office patch that the patcher for instaDMG actually worked?
rbwongParticipantThat DropBox link for the 14.2.1 updater is no longer valid. Can this link be refreshed so that I can at least have that in my image?
rbwongParticipantWhen you burn the InstallESD.dmg to a DVD, does that boot up as a workable installation disc?
I ask because sometimes I have to recreate the image with a physical disc (importdisc) before a workable DMG can be used by instaDMG
rbwongParticipantHey guys …. that link to osxdeployment seems to be off the air … is there another site with that write up?
