Today is the day 10.8 gets released. Anyone know whether Mountain Lion is incompatible with InstaDMG?

Can’t get it to work, I get “unable to mount”. The InstallESD.dmg mounts perfectly “manually”…

@psychozz – did you add the build version to the “Installer Disc Builds” to the vanilla catalog?

Got it working now. Seems like there where som Google Chrome remains that confused InstaDMG. Strange, but working now. InstaUp2Date seems to be working too after adding the correct build number.

Thanks for that. After deleting Google Chrome and app support files then rebooting, It now works. Only problem now I my catalog file doesn’t install Java! I’ve commented it out for now until I can work out what to do.

Part of the problem might be that Mountain Lion uninstall Java. How is the Java being installed (meaning, which catalog file and where is it placed? With the other System Updates in the vanilla catalog?)

@kdog79 -oh, and I assume you are installing the Java for Mountain/Lion (DL1515)?

As long as testing goes smoothly tomorrow, a 10.8_vanilla catalog should be posted by the end of the week. It currently only has the Java installer in it. If you want a sneak peek, you can check out https://github.com/n8felton/Mac-OS-X-Scripts/blob/master/InstaDMG/CatalogFiles/10.8_vanilla.catalog or https://github.com/thisisdave/instaCATS/blob/master/10.8GM_vanilla.catalog
