When a mobile user links to the network , are the managed prefs syncronized only when a network connection is established with the 10.3 server, or does the mobile user continually poll the OD server to check it’s preference settings?

I have got mine to work although I am not sure of the security implications.

Inside the domain security options you want to enable “allow enencrypted passwords from 3rd party SMB servers”. Once I changed this setting everything started working.

Well, all is up an runnning for me.. exept the vacation reply doesn’t work. The
other filter options seem to work fine, however (I can redirect, etc).
Vaction doesn’t seem to do anything.

I get the same error when trying to run net rpc vampire -S servername -U Administrator%secret. This should pull the entire existing domain and dump it into the ldap directory. The best I can tell is that the library that allows smbpasswd to interact with open directory is not compiled in.

“/etc/pdb/opendirectorysam.so undefined reference to get_opendirectory_authenticator expected to be defined in the executable Trace/BPT trap”

I could re-compile the samba package and include the opendirectorysam.so in the smbpasswd executable, but I’m not sure exactly how Samba is configured under Panther. Any apple techs listening, I’d sure like to know.

Still haven’t got this working. I see that others are having this same error:
Could not log on to timsieved daemon on your IMAP server localhost.
Please contact your administrator. Can anyone help me get started finding a
    solution to this error?
    Thanks,

    I’ve figured out something…

    http://yourURL/WebMail/plugins/avelsieve/table.php?sieve_loggedin=true

this will give you a different error. However, hitting the back button, then
hitting "Filters" again will allow you to edit filters without an error.

This will stick until you logout of WebMail.

I don’t have time to figure out what this means, but I figured I would give it to
    others to ponder as well.

I had another chance to look at this today. I appears OMM, the cyrus-related
PERL modules aren’t installed. Avelsieve appears to function, but doesn’t
actually install any sieve scripts. I also cannot manually run "sieveshell" and
"installsieve" because I get errors about missing PERL libs.

Any ideas? How do I get an install these PERL modules? I couldn’t find
anything at the Cyrus site about them.

Same situation here. The installs all seemed to go fine, I can define filters in
Squirrelmail, but they don’t do anything.

I managed to get it installed and I can setup filters for my users, but the
filters don’t actually do anything. Vacation notices aren’t sent, mail isn’t
redirected. Is there a log file that I can check out?

So I got it all installed, and got the pwauxprop errors, then fixed them,
Squirrelmail is in the right place, and I installed the plugin through conf.pl.

Now I get this when I click on filters throught the squirrelmail interface:

    Warning: split(): REG_EMPTY in /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/avelsieve/lib/
    sieve-php.lib.php on line 427

    and

Could not log on to timsieved daemon on your IMAP server
    mail.opportunitycouncil.org.
    Please contact your administrator.

    Any Ideas?

Also I still get a imapd and lmtpd "auxprofunc error -1" in my log…

I have been at this for some time….
