I’d love to see that script Josh, I’ve been trying to build one as of yesterday that I can incorporate with an image so after imaging, the user launches it, names the machine what they want and the script does the rest.

I’ve looked at other fully automated methods but when you have thousands of Macs it helps if you can name them individually by site and room, especially if you want to manage them.

I’m looking for a netboot solution I can leave behind with simple instructions so I can go elsewhere and do good

yep, it was the mcx cache, I figured it out about 2 hours after the posting. I kept trashing the managed prefs and wasn’t sure why they kept coming back so I knew it had to be a cached setting somewhere. Thanks for the reply.

You can only join the Alliance with a 10.3 or higher cert, I have ACTC 10.2, I’d love to have access to the books to get the ACSA 10.4, the classes are too expensive.
