ParticipantIPSecuritas is no longer available, unfortunately. It was one app that offered Mac users access to many different VPN solutions. I however would like to try it out with my BEVP41 and can’t find it anymore.
Any other alternatives to VPN Tracker?

ParticipantI myself have been trying to connect to my Linksys BEFVP41 (Firmware 1.02.00) with internet connect under Tiger with no results. Paying so much money for VPN Tracker is no solution for me. VPN Tracker does not support 3DES with the BEFVP41 according to the doumentation from equinux.
If anyone can shed some light, I think it would make a lot of us BEFVP41 users very happy.

ParticipantAlready tested the OS X Servers for the inherited permissions option. It does not work all the time. We have to go to the Workgroup Manager and force it to update the permissions at least once per day on our production servers. The servers have a very high amount of traffic. Around 14+ Gigs per day are served.

ParticipantHi Joel,
I have found the problem and am working on a fix. I was looking in the wrong direction. The firewall is working as expected and it has nothing to do with OS X Server. The problem is with the software I am serving (Gallery). It is a “server-relative” URL configuration that makes the software accessible only through the URL in the config.php.
I still do not have it running as expected but I am a step in the right direction. Other people that had the same problem and are helping.
Thanks for your help.

ParticipantHi Joel,
1. Class C network: 192.168.0.1 (Server)
2. I have tried using the internal IP, Hostname and also the URL over the internet. http://www.ourpics.homeip.net
3. IP for my Firewall/Router is:
int.=192.168.0.251
ext.= DynDNS (NAT)I do not have a DNS Server configured. Using DynDNS leaves me wondering how. I have never set up a DNS server as with my old DrayTek router, all worked fine always. I was forced to install a good firewall. My server was raped and I had to start from scratch. Do not want to go through that again.
The web server is serving the software “Gallery”. I wrote a short article on it for your site. Embarassing, eh? I found out that if I configure Gallery for use on the internal network, it no longer works externally. The Gallery folks have not answered yet. They already told me once that they have no experience with Macs or OS X.
