SOLVED…sort of.

After making backups of the annotations.db and the mailboxes.db, I moved the backup copies over, ran the repair on the databases and re-constructed user mailboxes. It looks like things are ok now.

I am using Workgroup Manager to manage the ACLs. How do I turn on ACLs?

I was using version 1.9.1 of the avelsieve plugin and have just updated to 1.9.2. All is working fine for me using 1.9.2’s supplied config.php

I get the same message on line 1127 when trying to add a new user. Did you find a solution?

Found the problem – I had disabled “clear” imap authentication in Server Admin (but had all others enabled). I didn’t think anyone was using clear authentication, nor do I want anything to.

squirrelmail.org faq says “SquirrelMail support IMAP-SSL only in combination with PHP 4.3.x or higher”. I have 4.3.4, but it’s not at all clear how to get squirrelmail to use ssl.

Any takers?

I set the imap log detail to “all events” in Server Admin yet (at least in Server Admin) I do not see any rejected login attempts (I do hit the ‘refresh’ button).

What’s the log name (and path) I need to be looking at?

What if you don’t have a replica or a backup of the database? Is there a way to create a clean LDAP database?
