Thanks! I’ll give it a try today.

That solved the problem for me. I had named my base dmg file “Leopard_base.dmg”. Changing it to “Mac OS X Install DVD.dmg” got everything running fine.

    Thanks!

I went through exactly what you’re going through. It took weeks for an actual reply to my questions. The long and short of it is that when they went to the new method of earning an ACSA they never got the two systems (Prometric and Apple Certification) talking with each other. On top of that the Apple Certification backend still doesn’t know how to display the new requirements so it just says “All required”.

You need 7 active credits to achieve an ACSA and from what you said you’ve done it. Congratulations! It took about 2 months or so for my actual certificate to arrive. The Apple certification folks told me that they are very short handed so it takes a while for answers to questions. Also, since their new system doesn’t talk to Prometrics yet they have to do all of the adding of new certifications and printing of certificates by hand.

Ok, as usual I stumbled across the answer right after I posted. The trick is to click on the "All" tab under Sharing in WGM, not the "Shares" tab. When you select the share under the "All" tab you can enable both ACL’s and Disk Quotas.

Just an update to my last post. Killing DirectoryServices does indeed force OS X server to get the latest NIS mapping. However, the local cache still retains the old password. The result being that you can log in with both the old and the new password.

The solution to that is to run ‘lookupd -flushcache’ immediately after killing DirectoryServices. That seems to flush out the old password while retaining the the new, updated password.

Killing off DirectoryServices did indeed cause it to get the new NIS map. It’s a somewhat brute force method but it’s also the only method suggested that’s ever worked!

    Many thanks!
