    Hi!

Thanks for helping out. I have a svn downloaded, fresh, 448 with only this:

    ./InstallerDiscs:
    total 7400088
    drwxr-xr-x 5 x staff 170B 3 Jan 15:26 .
    drwxr-xr-x 9 x staff 306B 3 Maj 14:13 ..
    -rw-r–r–@ 1 x staff 6,0K 3 Jan 14:29 .DS_Store
    drwxr-xr-x 9 x staff 306B 3 Maj 11:56 .svn
    -rwxrwxrwx@ 1 x staff 3,5G 23 Nov 10:47 InstallESD.dmg

I commented out the 10.7.3 and other updates in the vanilla-catalog.

What do you mena with SHA? Do a checksum.py on the image?
    InstallESD InstallerFiles/InstallerDiscs/InstallESD.dmg sha1:acf1b0e1a787a8de31fbbf7afbf6ab2c93f2c506 (todays date)

Just tested the dmg-file, från DiskU to USB stick, then started up on a Mac..

Hi, thanks for the reply and sorry for this late one.

    I did a test now

    1. Downloaded, via svn, 448
    2. Moved my InstallESD.dmg (4 of april) to InstallerDiscs
    4. Set the date to 3 jan 2012
    3. Ran sudo ~/InstaDMG/AddOns/InstaUp2Date/instaUp2Date.py -p 10.7_vanilla (after ai commented out the 10.7.3 update)

Still got a 1.2Mb dmg in Cache.

    From the debug:

    HI, thx for replying.

    I did this, just now:

    1. Downloaded InstaDMG1-6rc1.zip
    2. I have av fresh InstallESD.dmg (reinstalled my comp a couple days ago)
    3. Put it in InstallerDiscs
    4. Computer restart
    5. Ran ./AddOns/InstaUp2Date/runAllTests.py –failfast

    Got this:

So createUser has a systemversion-check witch didn’t like SL, a simple change in 2 lines made it rock (changed 10.5 to 10.6 in two places), now im testing if my image works. : ) The proper way is to make the right if-statements but im to lazy and probably short of knowledge..

Yes, im laborating with this as we speak. I couldn’t get 1.5rc2 to work at all, in the log everything looked ok but nothing got installed. I switched to 1.4b3 and every pkg gets installed except for the Creatuser, somehow it fails. the log is ok: Installing createUser.pkg from ./InstallerFiles/CustomPKG/01.

Ah, i see now i got an error in my log! i have to check this right away.

    I’ll be back.

    Hi, thx for replying Troll.

No, i haven’t. Mostly because i don’t ever use the exotic chars in shortname so i don’t consider that a problem, just the longname. I also use the longname to set the computer name.

Many thanks for the example guys.

    Tron:
Do this in terminal; defaults read /Library/Preferences/com.apple.HIToolbox

You will see all info regarding this.
