OSXPASS – request for comment/feedback

Its a new year (coming) and it has been a long time since I did an update of OSXPASS. I hadn’t made changes pre-Tiger hoping that Apple would come up with a solution and include it with Tiger. But, alas, that didn’t happen. So, I am embarking on doing an updated version of OSXPASS. This email is a request for comment and feedback. I’d like any information that might help guide me in the next version. And, if anyone has experienced problems, noted any security concerns, etc I’d like to hear about it. (I have thick skin.)

MacEnterprise.org Wisconsin DATN Webcast

The MacEnterprise.org group will be presenting a Webcast on the Digital Academic Television Network at the University of Wisconsin-Madison on Tuesday, January 18 at 1:00 pm EDT.

This Webcast will discuss how the University of Wisconsin-Madison deployed an IP-based live television broadcast system using QuickTime technologies, replacing an aging campus coaxial cable system. The Digital Academic Television Network (DATN, and pronounced “Dayton”) currently makes a dozen local television channels, as well as specialty campus content, available on the university network. Future plans, such as a transition to the new H.264 video codec and expansion to 77 local channels, will be discussed. More information about DATN is available from http://datn.wisc.edu/about/

MacEnterprise.org Wireless Security Webcast

The MacEnterprise.org (formerly MacOSXLabs.org) group will be presenting a Wireless Security Webcast on Tuesday, October 26 at 1:00 pm EDT. Tommy Hann, a Senior Consulting Engineer at Apple, will be presenting on wireless security standards and how to leverage them in Panther.
