    I’ve seen this issue with non mobile accounts as well. I’ve found that in 10.3 it seems idf the client is bound to an ldap domain this feature seems to work intermittenly at best. I would like to know if others have seen this behavior too and if there they have seen it work consistantly.

    if this issue is occuring after the initial set up or after changeing to an open directory master I would suspect and Issue with the ldp database. I would check the slap.conf log for more info about what happened when the server attempted to be promoted to ODM.
