ParticipantNo, but I’d like to! The large To: box won’t let you type in it, of course, and the Add button is disabled. I tried dragging contacts from Address Book into that area but that didn’t work either. If anyone has any tips, please let us know!
Thanks,
Bryan

ParticipantI need to do something similar. Basically, my entire server was destroyed while away for the holidays.
I’m in the process of rebuilding, but since email is semi-critical, I decided to bring it back up first. Problem is, now matter how I tried, I couldn’t get the old mail stores (directories, whatever) working. So I brought up the Cyrus/Postfix part and allowed it to create the new mail directories for the 3 users and decided to investigate ways to put the old mail back.
I can’t really find anything, though. I find plenty of utilities to convert from mbox to mdir, but nothing the other way around. (I thought that might be a simple solution…converting to mbox and then using Mail.app to put the email over.)
Any suggestions on what I can do? Thanks.

ParticipantIgnore it and carry on.
I did and it works just fine.

ParticipantYour problem appears to be over my head, but did you try Repair Permissions recently?

ParticipantI left the folders on my hard drive because I wasn’t sure if I’d need them in the future. To turn off their shared status, I went into Workgroup Manager, clicked the Sharing icon in the toolbar, and clicked on each Share Point that I didn’t want. On the right side of the window, I unchecked “Share this item and its contents”, clicked Save, and they disappeared from the left side of the window “Share Points.” Is this what you tried?

ParticipantWhen the gui is frozen, I can’t restart the Finder locally, but I can try killing it via ssh next time it happens (hopefully there won’t be). Thanks for the tip.
