Participantall fixed.
damn apple bugs 🙁
delete your ~/Lib/Pref/com.apple.ServerMonitor.plist
open up Keychain Access
Delete the Internet Password that its saved for Server Monitor for your ip address.
seems Server Monitor doesnt like it if you have more then one saved.I now have full access to the server.

Participanti wish their was a way to flash it to a default username/password and i can go into server monitor and correct this grief.
interestingly now that ive used “ipmitool user set password
to set the password instead of the set user password it actually sets it correctly.
ipmitool -vvv -U maticks -P-H command Server Monitor seems to be the issue…. anyone have any suggestions ?

ParticipantI dont know it seems to be buggy as all hell.
I’ve given it an ip address, on my core router i can see the ARP the mac address matches the LOM interface.
I’ve tried creating two users.bash-3.2# ipmitool channel setaccess 1 3 callin=on ipmi=on link=on privilege=4
bash-3.2# ipmitool user list 1
ID Name Callin Link Auth IPMI Msg SOL Channel Priv Limit
1 true false false false NO ACCESS
2 admin true true true false ADMINISTRATOR
3 maticks true true true false ADMINISTRATOReverything is configured correctly but server monitor keeps coming back with “incorrect user name or password”
anyone know how to get this LOM to work, ive set password that are like abc or abc123 and still nothing.i’ve even restarted it with this and still no go.
ipmitool mc reset coldif i set he user to a blank password it connects then deletes the server from server admin.
then if i set the password for that user to something real it will connect and i can then get stats.
but i cant use the user admin area to create an account it wont let me.maticks
ParticipantI tried doing the same thing but megaraid wants two drives.
i ended up striping the whole set together 🙁maticks
Participanthave to do S before Q to save the changes, but thanks it has fixed the issue
