Mine is set to REJECT…sounds like yours may be set to PASS

Some general things to watch out for…
Password is case sensitive
Make sure you’re using the Tiger admin tools
Can you ssh into the Xserve?
Have you tried 12345678?

Have you tried stopping and restarting the mail service (either through serveradmin or Server Admin)?

Have you tried just adding the address inside amavisd.conf?

I’ll try and test the white/blacklist files today…

If you connect the Xserve RAID directly to the host (ie. take the switch out of the equation), does it see it?

OK, did you go through the whole process in that article? Tiger ships with ClamAV/SpamAssassin and amavisd already included so it’s possible compiling and installing them over the top has messed everything up.
