ParticipantNope, DHCP is passing out the correct server for DNS. It’s like the internal interface dies or something…

ParticipantHey Dave,
I have the external interface listed first, internal second in Sys Prefs > Network.

Resurrecting a thread of yore… I’m trying to figure out a way to change the Search path on a non-boot volume using some of the commands in this thread, but I can’t seem to access that info any way from the volume I am booted into. Tried:
dscl -f /path/to/my/dslocal/nodes/Default localonly -read /Local/Target/Search /[/p]
—-
If you’re trying to read the search path from the volume you’re booted from, try this:
/usr/bin/dscl localhost -read /Search SearchPolicy CSPSearchPath
- Patrick
[/p]
I’m actually trying to read the search path of a non-boot volume… booted up from a drive and I want to read/modify the path of a connected volume.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey all,
Resurrecting a thread of yore… I’m trying to figure out a way to change the Search path on a non-boot volume using some of the commands in this thread, but I can’t seem to access that info any way from the volume I am booted into. Tried:
dscl -f /path/to/my/dslocal/nodes/Default localonly -read /Local/Target/Search /
but I just get a blank prompt back. I want to make sure Active Directory comes before LDAPv3 in my search order. I’m imaging machines using DeployStudio, binding them to AD and OD and I want to make 100% sure that AD is 1st for authentication (after local).
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

ParticipantThe only local users I have are the admin, diradmin (for OD) and an FTP user. All others are AD users. The admin is the only one who logs in at the console.
Thanks!
