Quote by: Patrick+Fergus[p]
Quote by: jwestlake[p]Hey all,
Resurrecting a thread of yore… I’m trying to figure out a way to change the Search path on a non-boot volume using some of the commands in this thread, but I can’t seem to access that info any way from the volume I am booted into. Tried:
dscl -f /path/to/my/dslocal/nodes/Default localonly -read /Local/Target/Search /[/p]
—-
If you’re trying to read the search path from the volume you’re booted from, try this:
/usr/bin/dscl localhost -read /Search SearchPolicy CSPSearchPath
- Patrick

I’m actually trying to read the search path of a non-boot volume… booted up from a drive and I want to read/modify the path of a connected volume.
Thanks!
