    Hey Jon,

I resolved this issue by copying the file com.apple.iWorkInstaller.plist from /Library/Preferences on a machine with a working copy of iWork 09 (installed from the retail package) and putting it into a package using PackageMaker. I then included this in the CustomPKG folder after iWork installs. The difference between the working and non-working plist was the item “InstallMode” on the working one said Retail, and the non-working one was blank.

    Hope that helps,
    Jason

also, is it possible to extract the iLife packages off of the apps install dvd? We just got a bunch of new MacBooks, so we don’t actually have an iLife disc, just the copies that come preinstalled.

I noticed there are pkg files for each app, plus a small one called iLife09, and four more iLife pkg files (Cookie, MediaBrowser, Slideshow, Sound Loops). If anyone has tried this, let me know if it works and what order you’d have to install them.

    Thanks!
    Jason

walt – i noticed you mention that the audio wasn’t working when you deployed a 10.5.6 based image onto a new macbook. I had something similar just happen to me, and I was wondering if using the packaged disc that came with it as the BaseOS took care of the audio problem.

    Thanks!
