ParticipantHi again,
Thanks to a few people on & off lists, I now have a working setup -still not entirely sure what went wrong, but anyhow, it’s working fine now.hmag
Participant[quote:c1220892fd=”donovan”]>the lmtpd errors should be cyrus issues. I’m assuming you’ve tried to rebuild >the database?
yes but im not sure if it has done any good
sudo -s -u cyrus
reconstruct -ris there a better way of doing this?
as far as the postfix file. i have taken out all of the amavis entry’s from both master and main.
but no i have not tried using the default file with a reload.
I might have to do that when traffic dies out.[/quote:c1220892fd]Hi again,
I’ve finally muddled my way through the install process – restore your original config – do a postfix reload – then flush out the mail queue – the amavis errors are most likely mails which failed due to not being able to talk to amavis-new – that was the error in my case.hmag

Dec 25 16:42:41 server postfix/master[18196]: reload configurationNo the obvious is that I have stuffed something up – I have followed the tutorial off the AFP548 site pretty carefully, but I’m no nearer having Amavis running, so any help is much appreciated – I have restored my original postfix main.cf & master.cf files & done a postfix reload until I can sort the problem out, hence the last 2 log lines – many thanks.
