What a coincidence. I just received my VLA copy today and I’m running into similar issues. (Installed without issue from the DVD.) First, as a matter of practice, I made a disk image using DiskUtil. of the disc. Then I mounted the image and attempted install. The installation hung towards the end. I made a second image, non-compressed, and ran into the same issue. Copied the .mpkg off the DVD and the image, same deal. Oddly, I have been able to deploy it as a package using ARD.
What’s going on here? The downloadable trial version does not have this issue, but requires a SN, but the VLA media that I received from Apple, which does not require a SN behaves completely differently.
I haven’t tried re-packaging it yet…
