I added the domain name to the “Default Domain” field in DHCP/DNS setting pane in SA… works. Windows XP client implementation needs this field to where OS X client is able to look elsewhere for this info. Not sure why, but am greatful that it is working. Always learning. Aloha 🙂

Hello. Tried this. Didn’t work. I have a G3 B&W with a formatted hd. Performed the steps you listed via NetInfo Manager and even restarted the server after the first attempt failed. Newer Mac’s still work. When I go into OF, I input the setenv for boot-file, boot-args and boot-device. When I type in mac-boot, I never get the globe. I get the grayish screen and after about a minute, I then get the question mark/flashing folder icon. I’m not running DHCP on the server as the network folks have vlans within handling this. I use the same info that I type into OF for the newer macs as I do with the older macs. Is there a different set of parameters for the older firmware? New at this for sure, but have the newer macs working great, so can’t complain at all. If you can spare anymore input, I’m grateful and thanks for your help. 🙂
