OK found UWIMAP set as a service. Disabled these and it now works a treat. Only thing I have noticed is that my CPU usage is quite high since my mail is back to normal. If I do a TOP command it shows a service PERL running at nearly 50% Any ideas?

OK will look for those first thing in the morning. Out of interest what is UWIMAP and POPD/POP3D and if they are running how do I stop them.

Sorry one last thing that might interest you is that this was working fine until a server restart.

No the IP of the machine is exactlly the same. When I put pass then the password in telnet it comes up saying that the password is incorrect. I know the password is correct because I can use the same username and password combination to log into the server from a workstation.
