I figured this one out. My associate failed to enable the custom path authentication so we were going through NetInfo. Once the custom path was enabled in Authorization we were good to go. Still doesn’t really explain the speed differentiation though. Anyone have any theories?

I am having the exact same issues. I think we need to compare notes. What kind of system are you running?

    My Details:

    Xserve DP1 GHz
    512 RAM
    Dual NIC
    2 160 GB HDD

My problems seem to come specifically after I have reset the machine. For some strange reason, all of my services are also activating, even when I have not specifically enabled them in the Open Directory Assistant.. Anything odd happening on your end?

The url is already an IP rather than a DNS name. Considering I am running this in a corner of the Windows network, might the reverse be true, I think I will check and get back to you.

Which switch settings were the problem for you? I am running a Cisco 1900 series, what are you running? Thanks for the input!
