Yes, using UNC path, everything works perfectly as my users can login. The problem, as I’ve seen posting many times is that only certain absolutely required folders are created in the home folder, unless of course I run the command createhomedir -s -a on the OS X server hosting the home folders.

I completely agree with augmented records and truth be told they are one of the greatest features in 10.5 in my opinion, however, they have no effect on 10.4 clients.

I have no issues with having to run the createhomedir -s -a command, however, some clients may not like the idea of this extra step for a new user here and there.

Thanks, I will give this a try and let you know. I found similar instructions on some other website, however, the author said he was having trouble afterwords (though didn’t go into any examples). Have you tried this and does it work out well?

So to expand on this, how would you go about configuring MS Office unique settings for each user. For example, each user is going to have a different name… Any ideas?
