i have never quite understood this kind of request.

I have a file, a word document called, “War and Peace”. I have been working on it for years. It is on my server with amend permissions (but not to delete).

Someone opens the doc, selects all and types F-U.

Didn’t they delete the file? (effectively)

If someone can amend a file, they can delete it.
