I have been learning how to secure an OD server, and have worked through the ‘Roll your own CA in Tiger’ article Joel posted on afp548. However, I didn’t notice the gotcha regarding password protecting the key file, so slapd choked and died. I have fixed this by using Michael’s suggestion above, but is this the correct way to do things? Should I really be unwrapping the key file as suggested in Joel’s afp548 article ‘The great big Panther SSL article’?
