MacTroll: I had the logging cranked right up, and it appeared the IP was sent, but no furhter comments.
gw1500se: I use both XP and Vista.
Turns out the XP was a local firewall setting (user had turned on a bunch of stuff that wasn’t needed).
As for the Vista machine: I logged in to the server from my other Mac (which had server admin 10.5.5 on it). I checked the settings, but changed nothing. When i clicked off of the DHCP, it asked if i wanted to save. I reverted and tried it again – same thing. So i hit Save, and voila, all of the sudden the Vista machine connected. No idea what changed, but it’s working.
