I was getting problems just running the basic script/installer even outside InstaDMG I grabbed the latest createUser from v236 and modified the postflight file. There are two lines with:
if ( echo $HOST_SW_VERS | grep “^10.5″>/dev/null ); then

change 10.5 to 10.6 and it works fine.
