    Upgraded to 10.4.9 and pc/windows users are able to read/write.
    Thanks to all of you for this valuable thread.

    I have moved a little bit further and I am the seeing the same errors seen by you.
    Same status.

    I ran this again but the output was simply “\00” for the password:
    sudo tdbdump /var/db/samba/secrets.tdb

    Rebooted but the password stayed as “\00”

    Hello all,

    Thanks for the tips and script.
    I am trying to install a new X server and this is the
    output of tdbdump.

    When I run the script this is the error I get. Has anyone seen this?
    Will appreciate any suggestions or advice.
