Well… the setup you are talking about sounds a lot like XSAN, which is a fairly complex storage system. Some good places to start learning about it:

    Apple’s XSAN Administrator’s Guide
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/xsan/XsanAdminGuide.pdf

Apple Pro Training Series: XSAN Quick Reference Guide

    To learn about FCP:

To learn about Mac OS X Server:

You should keep in mind that these books are definately not ALL you are going to need to know about running an XSAN… it is a fairly complex system. The best thing to do is to get someone who is very knowledgeable about it and learn from them while working on it.

    Best,
    Phil

OK, now that I know your setup it makes more sense. I know that upgrading to an N Base Station is expensive, but based on the history of the DLink, it would make sense. With it being unreliable, it would make sense to spend a little bit of money on a setup that will be both reliable, fast, and completely compatible. I have been working with the N’s and have been very impressed with both their reliability and configurability.

For a little clarification, you are trying to connect a Mac to a D-Link wireless access point (or router)?

If this is the case, I believe that some of the older Macs don’t support WPA2. What model Mac are you attempting to connect with?
