Ok, So do you put a password in the agent.cfg for either the workstation or the root? Also what do you authenticate with via the backup exec client for resource credentials … I’ve tried just about everything and keep getting the authenitcation errors.

Suppose I should post more Details…

It’s Backup Exec 10d for Windows Servers … Trying to back up an Xserve G5 with 10.4.8 … I have the licence of course for the OS X agent… when i untar the be_agent and install it i go through the options … set up everything via the instructions. When I try to back something up I get authentication failures. I’ve tried password .. no password .. password on the server and directory … nothing seems to work all I get is authentication errors.
