Well, I got it working now.:D
No reboots needed anymore and authentication times and file transfers are fast again..
The solution is rather weird, but it works (for me at least):
In server admin i unchecked the “NTLMv2 & Kerberos” box
On the windows cients I’ve done the following.
Start -> Run “secpol.msc”
In the tree open and click Security Settings -> Local Policy -> Security Options
Scroll the left pane down to ‘Network Security: LAN manager authentication level’
Change this to ‘Send NTLMv2 response only\refuse LM & NTLM’ ‘
Maybe this helps someone else.
