thanks for your suggestions. today I installed – with the help of your guide – postfix.

for your information – a little section is different to your guide:

I checked the alias-file (/etc/postfix/aliases) as you described, but after the complete installation postfix couldn’t start.

In the console I read: Oct 5 16:37:37 xserve postfix/smtpd[575]: fatal: open database /etc/postfix/aliases.db: No such file or directory^M^M

so I renamed the file to aliases.db and then postfix could start.
