I’ve also found that of the 4 options as to how to mount the share, only ‘as user home directories’ worked for me too.
BTW, DHCP is running, but no problems.
One of our workarounds is to use the Shared folder at the same level as users for … well, shared items! The only problem with that is permissions. The group share has the ‘inherit unix permissions’ switch turned on, and that seems to work well.
One other problem I have now is that I (think) I’ve now turned everything off to do with group shares, yet a dialog box asking me to connect to the server still comes up every time I log in. Perhaps something is still cached on the client?
A workaround would be nice. Will you post here or do you want an email?
