ParticipantFrom what I’ve read, this is most often done using machine certificates.
Now getting a Mac to get a machine certificate from the MS CA is no easy trick. It’s the part I’m trying to figure out now.

ParticipantThere is poorly named article here… (in that it doesn’t mention “microsoft” in the whole article)

I’ve had some of it work in the manual (GUI) mode and some not. I can get a machine kerberos ticket, but my CA says no templates are available.

ParticipantIt would be nice, but I don’t need to.

ParticipantJoel,
Thanks for the reply….
I logged in as the “admin” user. That user is “blessed” as an admin under Workgroup manager.
I launched “sudo perl -MCPAN -e shell” and gave pw. Gave above failure on writing Makefile
I then did “su root” and auth’ed. launched perl -MCPAN and did again.
Same failure.
Really wierd.

ParticipantA) Did you restart the sshd?
2) Check your Mac OS firewall? If you just allow the preconfiged “Remote Login” that will turn on the old port. You would have to allow the Web service.
c) Be sure the Web server is turned off. If apache has port 80, sshd won’t be able to listen on it.
