I have been ripping my hair off with sieve because of the need of Vacation, wich by the way works, and works well.

I would like to see Joel add this bit of info in the article, it would save useless time for dum people like me.

Many people seem to have had or still have an issue were Sieve is installed and running through squirrelmail but nothing happens when we try to set up a Vacation filter.

So this is what worked for me,

There is a section in the vacation filter that says
“Addresses: Only reply if sent to these addresses:”

This section needs to be setup with the email of the user logged in to squirrelmail, unless you want to activate Vacation for more then one user, even if user X should not have the rights to activate a vacation filter for other users..

so log in to squirrelmail go to your vacation add your email in the [Addresses: Only reply if sent to these addresses: section] and Voila’ it works !

    Later

P.S. Thanks Joel for the article and the help
