We are having a very bizzare problem. Perhaps someone has seen this before and can enlighen me. A user is trying to send an unremarkable attachment (Word document) to a number of users. The users that are receiving their mail via the xserve get a zero byte attachment. Users not on the xserver get a good attachment. Clearly something is being done to the attachement by the xserve. However, this is not the case for all attachments just a couple. As I said there is nothing remarkable or noticably different from the Word documents that are received successfully from this user and those that wind up with a zero byte length. Just in case you are going to ask, this happens to other users sending attachments as well. TIA.

After some additional testing I have made a discovery about this problem. I now know under what conditions some files work and others don’t although I don’t undertand why. It turns out that file with no extension (.doc) are the ones that have a zero byte length at the destination. If the file has the .doc extension it works and it it does not it fails. Does this make sense to anyone? TIA.
