For just the basic stuff you are talking about you can even just get a used G3 or G4 Cube – something in that range and just buy OSX Server 10.3 with unlimited clients and install it. In fact checkout this guy http://www.iht.com/articles/117024.html – He is fight spam for the entire world with a G4 cube.

I even run one website on OSX Server 10.3 with a G3 233mhz old…very old first generation iMac. That computer has been up for 2 years running OSX Server without any trouble – it just sits in a closet and serves away.

If you are new to Mac then do yourself a favor and checkout – http://www.lowendmac.com – You could save yourself thousands and be just as happy as if you were to buy all the new highend stuff to simply SERVE processes. OSX Server’s underpinning is all UNIX and rock solid when installed correctly and you will be very happy with a single G4 to do what you need.
