I am running an Xserve G5 with three 250GB Drives.

I have the Mac OS 10.3.4 installed onto Drive 1
The other two drives have Software RAID 1
These two drives are giving me Warnings this morning when I came In.

I restarted the server and now it will only boot back up into “safe” mode.

    Any suggestions??

SafeMode -> Well, its when you hold down the “shift” key when the computer is starting up. I belive it disables some extentions.

My biggest worry is what to do about these Drives. let me attach a link to a screenshot of the Server Monitor window. Not sure if it will help but maybe it will.

Thanks for any help in advance!!

I opened Disk utility and here is a screenshot I took:

Now. what options do i have in order to not loose the data I have on this RAID?

I have a spare 250GB HD to replace if I need to, but this Xserve has only been running for a week or so. I really doubt that the HD is bad. But the Yellow Warning Lights on the Srever monitor is scaring me.

    Thanks

Good news is I called the AppleCare today and they sent me to this website link that was VERY very helpfull.

I hope this may help someone else in the future. I will post how my “rebuilding” of my RAID goes. Thanks!
