I have Leopard Server, and one of the server’s volumes is configured to be a remote Time Machine volume for the server’s clients. After a corruption in the Open Directory database I demoted the server to “standalone” and then re-promoted it to be an Open Directory Master. Since then I have noticed the the GIDs of the sparsebundles on the Time Machine share are shown as “502” with an “ls -la”. This means that I wiped out a group in Open Directory, which I didn’t recreate.

What is the name of that group supposed to be? With which users am I supposed to populate this group?
