I have installed the xserver behind a firewall that is handling and rerouting the valid IPs to the 172.16.1.15 and works fine enough, BUT the main problem arrise as soon as we deploy our AMP (Apache – Mysql – PHP) page, if we use thee real IPs the people outside can see the page, but the people inside (the intranet) can’t, and if we turn upside down using the internal (172.xxx) address in the DNS files the people inside can use the page but the people outside dont.
The linux expert told me to reconfigure the “hosts” file, but it clearly states that, dont work unless you are using the old way (not using netinfo), and we loaded the “host” ips to net info using the procedure that I get from AFP548 but it doesnt work neither.
    Any advice is REALLY wellcomed

I just followed your advice, and it works, thanks, that was really a nightmare, also I was wondering if there is a command to connect and disconect to a samba server ? just to back up some important data in 4 machines in a schedule, and disconect as soon as the copy (Backup) is done ?
Or a utility to do or handle that sort of….
