VPN With Network Home Directories

Hello Everyone,

I am running 10.5.4 server and have about 10 users configured with network home directories.
I also have the VPN service running.
Until now the users can connect to the VPN when they are not here and manually mount their home directories so that they can access their files.
This has been working great but I now need to let these user login to their network accounts instead of just mounting their home directories when they are not here.
Is there a way to do this?
I have tried logging into a local account, connecting to the VPN and then logging out so that I can login to the network account however when I logout the VPN disconnects.
