I am trying to connect a Mac OS 10.4.4 at home with DSL and Airport to a Windows network behind a Linksys BEFVP41 router. The Mac VPN client does not offer much configuration options.
I can see in the Linksys log the tunnel request from the IP of the Airport, and a response. The Mac gets no response.
Is the Airport Basestation set to do NAT ( i.e. distribute IP addresses)? If so, then you will have to setup some port forwarding in the airport basestation since it wont know what machine on the LAN side to send the WAN tunnel packets to. What ports do you forward? It depends on if you’re using PPTP or L2TP. I’d have to look up the port numbers, maybe someone else, or you, can find all the relivent ones.
