I created a cert using the Server Admin utility, genearted the CSR, got the cert, and cut and pasted it. When I try to start up Apache using that cert it won’t start and logs the following errors:

[Thu Feb 16 13:27:31 2006] [error] mod_ssl: Init: Pass phrase incorrect (OpenSSL library error follows)
    [Thu Feb 16 13:27:31 2006] [error] OpenSSL: error:0D07207B:asn1 encoding routines:ASN1_get_object:header too long

From a quick search on this error, it seems that 10.3 server may have had a problem with using a private key passphrase. Anyone know if this is still the case for 10.4 server?

We had to strip out the passphrase to make the cert work with Tiger Server.

Did you find a solution…I’m having the same problem!

    Thanks for any help!

Halp! Anyone find a fix for this yet? I’m going to try re-inserting our certificate (other info I found said that it may have become corrupted)… but already turned off a rogue Performance Cache setting… and the other thread here relates to 10.2, not 10.4.. =(
