We have about 100 users using Tiger Powermac G5s connecting to a Tiger workstation(with their homes shared out over AFP) and for the most part, everything is great except for the fact that they cannot burn dvds.

Whenever they insert a dvd, they open it up in finder and drag the folders they want to burn to the dvd, but when they click the burn icon, they get a message saying the item is going to be skipped because the original cannot be found, despite the fact that the user has full read/write access to the files!

If I log in as a local user, the burns work fine. I have even tried burning a folder that is living on the local hard drive, but no luck. Anyone have any guesses on why we are seeing this problem?

    Thanks!

I have never seen this issue, and until December, we were running 10.4 clients with 10.4 server hosting AFP accounts.

Can you tell us what version of client and server? Are there any messages in the system.log on the client?
