Has anyone actually got user pictures in their LDAP database?

I kow about the official apple way: http://developer.apple.com/documentation/MacOSXServer/Conceptual/ XServer_ProgrammingGuide/Articles/UserImagesinOpenDirectory.html>

But I would like to do it with base-64 pictures stored in the directoy in the jpegPhoto attribute from the inetOrgPerson schema rather than apple- picture.

    Anybody succesful?

I have user pictures and group pictures mapped and it works great. Last time I checked it doesn’t work with jpegs.

Make ’em .tiffs and be sure they’re .tiff files with two fs. It doesn’t like just one f. Beware of Photoshop — it uses one f instead of two by default.
