I was looking to purchase a 16GB Crucial Gizmo thumb drive to use as an emergency boot disk. I was curious to see what others thought about partitioning the 16GB flash drive into two partitions. One partition to use as an emergency boot disk, and the second partition to be used as a Lion Client Installer. Is this recommended or should I have a separate flash drive with a single partition to use only as a emergency boot disk and a second flash drive to use only as a Lion client installer? Thanks.

I ended up going with a 8GB crucial and placed the Lion Installer on it with a single partition. I don’t think I have a need now for a workable installation on the USB drive. As long as I have access to Disk Utility on the USB drive I should be fine.
