Upgrading Mailman from 2.1.5 to 2.1.9 on Server 10.4.10?

Hello everyone!

We are planning to make the web interface of Mailman (running on 10.4.10) accessible to the public. As we are afraid of any possibly unresolved bugs in the “Apple-current” version 2.1.5 we are considering upgrading Mailman from the standard 2.1.5 to the “officially current” version 2.1.9.

Searching several forums, the Mailman FAQ, as well as googling around didn’t really help me. So here are my questions:

– Is there a “recommended” way to do this?

– Has this been done before successfully?

Any help, common sense, and advice is greatly appreciated!

Maybe a “diff” on Apple’s 2.1.5 and the original 2.1.5 to see what’s really different?
