Updated Catalog Files

I am going to try host updated catalog files on my website. I will try to keep them updated as often and quickly as possible. I just started putting them up so I only have one up there, but more will come.

Three questions/comments:

1) Shouldn’t it be iLife09updates, since the iLife suite is not included in the catalog file?

2) I thought that the ARD update was part of the 10.6.1 update… I will fix the catalog file up on the developer site momentarily.

3) Why host this externally? If you want to become the maintainer for those catalog files why not ask for write permissions on the svn site?

I could do that, I’d be happy to maintain them. I just sent you an email.

As for the iLife Updates, the only reason I didn’t include the iLife DMG itself was I wasn’t sure how people created it (they may have used compressed, DVD Master, or read only).

I will add the iLife DMG into the catalog file (the compressed DMG).

You missed my point. You can’t include iLife itself because people will be using different sources. My point was to make it clear that this is the updates, not iLife itself.

Gotcha, once I have write permission on the svn I will update the catalog files there.
