    Hi there

I have now – on two different 10.4.5 servers – observed the strange fenomen that the installation for iTunes 6.0.4 process stalls at “installing at ca. 12,41 %”. (Yes I know that iTunes normally is NOT used at the server, but hey – if it’s advertised it should be installable…)

It can’t be the same thing that happens with QuickTime (trying to display an alert about the Pro serial number) since the iTunes installer does not provide any questions when installed (also on the server) via the GUI’s Software Update.

The log only tells me this:

    Mar 5 15:59:27 server servermgrd: servermgr_info: [46] about to execute ” softwareupdate -q -l -f /private/var/run/SoftwareUpdateStatus.plist –lang English “

PS.: The man page does NOT explain what the “-q” (quiet?) and “-f” means

    Ideas anyone?
