Unable to change passwords with OD clients

Hello,

After hours of searching in forums, I’m giving up. I recently ended up with a working Open Directory setup and I’m now creating accounts and testing the whole config.

I set Open Directory to ask for a password reset on first login. My clients do bind correctly (green dot in login window), OS X tells me wether I type a right or wrong password and then asks me to reset it. Whatever I enter, the login window keeps shaking… I’m not able to enter any new password that the system would accept !!!

Is there a way to troubleshoot this issue ? What’s going wrong ?

I found a workaround that doesn’t satisfy me : logging in a local user on the client, open an AFP connection with the desired account : and changing the password there when asked… That works but that’s not the right way to me !
